Computer forensics

Computer forensics involves the recovery and analysis of data from computer systems. It can be carried out for a variety of reasons, such as law enforcement, private detective work and corporate investigations.

How does computer forensics work?

With any computer, or smartphone, data that is deleted is rarely truely deleted. While the file is deleted by the user, it can often be fully recovered and viewed. This technique of data recovery allows computers to be forensically examined, to discover data that has previously been stored on it.

Data may include documents, emails, images, and audio and video files.
